Event Policies
These policies apply to public events such as Sunday Sketch Club and the Monthly Ladies Art Group.
Refunds & Cancellations Policy
I understand that life happens! If you can no longer attend an event, please get in touch as soon as possible.
-
Refunds are available if you provide 3 or more business days' notice before the event.
-
If you cancel with 2 business days' notice, you’ll receive a class credit to use towards a future event.
-
No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made with less than 2 business days’ notice, or for no-shows.
If, for any reason, I need to cancel or reschedule an event, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another date or class.

Thank you for your understanding and support – planning these events takes time and care, and your courtesy helps keep them running smoothly for everyone.
Course Policies
These policies apply to multi-week courses such as Oil Painting for Beginners and Portrait Painting for Beginners.
Refunds & Cancellations Policy

If you attend the first class and decide the course isn’t for you, you can request a 75% refund, not including any materials or kits (like an oil painting kit) that have been provided.

After the first week, refunds are no longer available unless there are exceptional circumstances. Any refunds after this time will be at the studio’s discretion.

The cost of any art materials, supplies or kits that have been handed out can’t be refunded — they’re yours to keep!

If you can’t make one or more of the classes during the term, that’s totally okay — but unfortunately I can’t offer partial refunds or makeup classes, as places are limited and courses are designed to be taken as a block.
Private Class Policies
Pay as You Go (One Off Classes)

Private lessons are tailored just for you — so if something comes up and you can’t make it, please let me know as soon as possible.

Here’s how cancellations and rescheduling work for pay-as-you-go private classes:
-
If you provide 2 or more business days’ notice, I’m happy to reschedule your session at no cost.
-
If you cancel with less than 2 business days’ notice, a $35 cancellation fee per hour will apply. This helps cover preparation time and lost scheduling opportunities.
-
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or don’t show up, the full class fee will be payable at your next session.
Thanks so much for understanding — this policy helps me keep the studio running smoothly while offering flexible, personalised learning.

Term Classes

If you’re unable to attend one of your scheduled term classes, here’s how cancellations and rescheduling work:
-
If you provide 2 or more business days’ notice, I’ll do my best to reschedule your missed class to a mutually convenient time — subject to availability.
-
If you cancel with less than 2 business days’ notice, I’m really sorry but I won’t be able to offer a refund, credit, or rescheduling, as your place has already been prepared for.
Please note that make-up classes are not guaranteed and depend on available time slots and studio capacity — but I’ll always do my best to accommodate where possible. Thanks so much for your understanding and support — it helps keep classes running smoothly for everyone!
