Welcome to Sunday Sketch Club!

Every third Sunday of the month 10:30am - 1:00pm

The perfect way to build a creative practice and make some new friends! Sunday Sketch Club is all about scrolling less and sketching more.

It’s so easy for us all to become lost in our own worlds and fill our time scrolling. The idea behind SSC is to bring people together who want to get a little bit more creative and meet likeminded people!

What is Sunday Sketch Club?
Every third Sunday of each month, we meet at the Studio, learn about a new sketching style, technique or art supply and then head out and sketch the streets of Melbourne!

Why sketching?
Sketching is a wonderful way to build a regular creative practice – it’s all about letting loose, having fun and finding wonder in the world around us. There is absolutely no right and wrong about sketching and that’s why no artistic experience is required!

The story behind Sunday Sketch Club

PXL_20230819_024355039~4.jpg

In 2023,  I found myself sucked into the doom scrolling vortex more than ever. I found that I was often losing motivation to put pen to paper and get creative, and it all seemed a bit overwhelming. But then last year I hosted an urban sketching workshop and

it really made me think that there must be a way to build a sketching community, with the simple goal of sketching more and scrolling less, and well, here we are!

What's included?

and why I think you'll love Sunday Sketch Club!

01

New art supply each month to keep!

Every month you'll receive a new art supply to add to your collection - whether it's a new pencil, watercolour swatch sheet or new pens!

03

Inclusivity and good vibes

Sunday Sketch Club is a safe place, welcoming everyone. You don't need to be an experienced artist - you just need to want to get creative once a month.

02

Access to the Studio's supplies

Whilst all you need to sketch is a pencil and some paper, I want to make sure you have the tools to make the art you envision - that's why for each session you'll be able to use any of the supplies at the Studio!

04

Explore and get active!

Weather permitting we will always try to spend the session sketching on location - that means walking around Camberwell and maybe even hopping on a tram to find some cool spots to sketch.

In April we headed to the Rivoli Cinema in Camberwell!
