Inspired by rolling hills and cool summer days.
The Gallery of Wearable Things
I always wanted to create jewellery that was more than an accessory, but a piece of wearable art that belonged in a gallery! In developing the pieces, I wanted to find a process whereby each design had depth and felt more like a window that you could step through. Inspired by impressionist paintings, I created a method of painting sections of each design on between 4 and 8 separate panes of resin. This method allows each brushstroke to be visible – like the paintings you see in a gallery!
Each piece is completely original and unique, however if you see a design you like I can replicate a version of it!
How the Pieces are Made
Each piece is painted using acrylic paints on between 4 and 8 layers or panes of resin. Each design is set within an alloy cabochon setting inspired by vintage frames. Each piece is treated with a tarnish resistant coating and has a hypoallergenic backing.
Please note that these are handmade items, and slight colour variations may occur compared to the pictures. There may be small imperfections, like tiny bubbles, fingerprints or tiny specks of lint. These imperfections highlight the human touch in the creation process.
Caring for your Jewellery
These pieces are fashion jewellery. To keep them looking their best, follow the “Last on First Off” rule - put your pieces on last when getting ready to go out, after you've applied lotions, perfumes and other products, and make sure it's the first thing off before you shower or start using cleansing products. You can polish your pieces using any standard jewellery polishing cloth.
